For sale here is a Maxcom 4E from February 1982, it is in reasonably good order and has had both the power lead and the power connector replaced with brand new parts purchased from Richard Shireby G0OJF of TSG Communications/UK FM CB Radio Servicing, the radio itself was an eBay purchase a few years ago which came with a poor condition power lead and a broken rear panel connector.
It uses a common Maxon chassis as found in the Midland Precision Series radios for the UK market as well as some other Maxcom radios, it comes with a non-standard K40 mic with a magnet inside so it sticks to metal surfaces without the need of a mic clip, the mic connector is a 5-pin DIN connector.
The radio has been checked over, particularly the detector as these can go out on the Maxon chassis, but may benefit from a service as I only have limited gear at present, the PA function works as it should, TX lamp, meter and meter lamp all work
